The Northumberland National Park Mountain Rescue Team are on call throughout Northumberland and Tyne & Wear 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, even on Christmas Day.
Team members provide a professional and voluntary life-saving service, delivering search and rescue cover for lost or injured walkers and cyclists; searching for missing high risk, vulnerable or despondent people in non-mountain areas; responding to severe weather events such as flooding, snow bound motorists and wild fires; and undertaking water and technical rescues.
